Dr. Manish Sharma is a highly-skilled, passionate, and ambitious management professional having more than a decade of experience in the health, wellness, and spa industry. Under his able leadership, Orion Spa has evolved into a well-known brand associated with luxurious spa and wellness projects. From concept design to marketing, management, and consultancy, Dr. Manish is well-versed with all spheres of spa business. He also possesses high moral and ethical values with a strong commitment to excellence in service. Dr. Sharma’s core expertise includes managing luxury spa projects and corporate spa operations, organizing daily spa activities, technical training, handling guest services, and more. Over the years, he has led the design and operations and management of various spa centres across India. At a very young age, he handled more than 20 pre-openings of 5-star hotels and new luxury spa projects in India, South Africa, and UAE. Having completed his doctorate from Kerala, he specializes in traditional Ayurvedic healthcare practices, Ayurvedic beauty therapies, authentic massages, reflexology, Panchakarma, naturopathy, yogic therapies, and Western spa therapies. Being an Army officer’s son, Dr. Manish started his journey from scratch to become one of the most recognized and leading faces in the industry! After completing his education and gaining vast knowledge, Dr. Manish could have easily started his career with a managerial position. However, he chose to start from the lowest level so he could get a good hands-on experience in operations and understand the mindset of the ground-level people. Dr. Manish started his career with the Taj Group of Hotels as a spa therapist in 2008. Later, he moved to Tattva Spa of Four Seasons Hotels to join as Assistant Spa Manager. Then, in 2013, he quickly progressed from becoming Spa Manager to a Spa Director at The Hridayesh Spa Wilderness Resort. Today, Dr. Manish is heading Orion Spa Group as the Managing Director. He leads the overall operations and management of the Orion Group. He is also responsible for driving revenues and undertaking new development projects. Dr. Manish has a few awards to his credit including, ‘Best Spa Manager of the Year 2012’and ‘Highest Revenue Generator of the Year 2012’. He has also been Asia’s Youngest Manager in the spa industry. Dr. Manish has gained wide acclaim for creating 52 signature treatments, including his patented invention of Virgin Mojito body massage (Ice Body Massage) in 2012. He continues to invent more new forms of signature treatments. In his leisure time, Dr. Manish loves to perform and teach dance, do adventure sports, and play basketball.
